My first love, ever, was when I was 3 years old and I was at Child’s Day. I remember my mom dropping me off at Child’s Day, and I wouldn’t even look at her because I was so sad that I wasn’t going to see her any more. I just went to the trains and played with the trains while my mom went away.
And when I was playing with the trains, a girl named Lily came over and started playing with the trains with me. At recess, we also played cats and we told stories to each other. And then during snack time, we both invented the apple Popsicle.
And from that day on, we were best friends for the next eight years. And every weekend we’d go over to each other’s houses and we’d probably, definitely, eat Kraft Mac’n’Cheese. She would teach me gymnastics and we watched every episode of “The Simpsons” together.
After elementary school, I haven’t seen her again, except on Facebook. But that was my first love.
